Welcome

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” -Howard Thurman

My Story

With over two and a half decades of dedicated experience, I’ve found myself at the crossroads of therapy and engineering. My journey began way back in 1976, sparked by the intelligent robots in Star Wars. That dream led me into electrical and computer engineering, but life, as it often does, threw some curveballs. I battled a pornography addiction, struggled with workaholism, and faced some deep personal and spiritual crises.

In 1999, after a series of life-altering events—like divorce and a career shift—I took a moment to pause and really ask God for guidance. That season of reflection became a turning point, and I felt a calling to help others navigate their own struggles. That led me to pursue a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin and become a therapist. My focus has been on guiding men and couples who’ve faced similar battles.

For the past 25 years, my mission has been to ignite hope and a hunger for fullness in the hearts of men. This path has taken me through leading transformative men’s intensives, developing innovative therapeutic tools, and blending my engineering skills with therapy.

I’m also proud to have served for 18 years as the Executive Director and Founder of a nonprofit for the homeless, A New Entry, here in Austin. It’s all part of the transformative process that fuels my commitment to helping men live fully alive.

Together with my wife, we offer a compassionate, holistic approach, drawing from my own experiences to help individuals and organizations navigate their journeys with authenticity, vulnerability, transparency and resilience.
