My Story
As a dedicated mental health professional with over 25 years of experience, I specialize in an integrative approach that includes Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT). I utilize innovative tools to help individuals restore emotional balance and achieve their goals. My passion for counseling and advocacy runs deep, and I’ve devoted my career to serving those who are disadvantaged and marginalized.
In addition to my ETT training, I’ve spent over 12 years serving as a guardian for the State of Texas in Houston, providing care and advocacy for individuals who couldn’t care for themselves. I’ve also worked extensively in clinical environments, conducting acute psychiatric assessments and connecting individuals with the appropriate mental health resources.
I have also had the privilege of working with school-aged children, helping them navigate difficult transitions at home and ensuring their mental health is supported so they can thrive both academically and at home.
Currently, I’m honored to work in a homeless transitional housing center, contracted by the Austin Area Urban League. Here, I provide mental health services and case management, ensuring that individuals are connected with the resources they need for healing and stability.
Together with my husband, I bring a compassionate, holistic approach to our shared mission of helping individuals and communities thrive.
